2020: Northern Virginia Magazine continues to recognize Alan Plevy and Kyung (Kathryn) Dickerson as 2020 “Top Lawyers.” Nominated by their peers, the award spotlights the firm’s attorneys for their excellence in the areas of Divorce and Family Law.
This is the third year that Plevy and Dickerson have been honored by the magazine.

Smolen, Plevy, Ruttenberg and Dickerson have previously been named ‘Top Lawyers’ by Northern Virginia Magazine in 2010, 2013 and 2015.

SmolenPlevy ‘s Alan Plevy and Kyung (Kathryn) Dickerson were lauded for their work in family law. Both Plevy and Dickerson’s practice areas include all aspects of divorce, including civil litigation, child custody, adoptions, and domestic relations. Mr. Plevy has been named an area SuperLawyer consistently since 2006. He was also spotlighted as a top lawyer by Washingtonian Magazine. Mr. Plevy has argued a number of cases to Virginia’s Court of Appeals typically cited as landmark precedent, earning him the coveted Martindale Hubbell AV rating. Ms. Dickerson has also received numerous awards for her legal services, including recognition as a member of Virginia’s Legal Elite by Virginia Business magazine. She was also selected as a “Leader in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
